Short drama runs on high emotion — betrayal, obsession, revenge. That is the genre, and we are not going to sand it down. But intensity is not a licence for everything, and this page sets out where the line sits.
1. How we rate series
Every series carries a rating and, where relevant, content descriptors shown before the first episode plays.
| Rating | Means |
|---|---|
| 13+ | Mild conflict and romance. Suitable for most teen viewers. |
| 16+ | Sustained tension, non-graphic violence, implied intimacy, some strong language. |
| 18+ | Mature themes, strong language, sexual content that stays non-explicit, and violence that is depicted rather than implied. Age verification required. |
Descriptors we apply where relevant: violence, sexual content, coercive relationships, substance use, self-harm references, and flashing imagery.
2. What we will never publish
- Any sexual content involving minors, or the sexualisation of minors in any form.
- Content that is legally obscene, or explicit pornography.
- Depictions of real, non-consensual sexual violence presented approvingly, or as entertainment without narrative consequence.
- Content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or organised hate against a protected group.
- Instructional depictions of self-harm, suicide methods, or eating disorders.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or synthetic media of real people in intimate contexts.
- Cruelty to real animals, or footage of real death or serious injury.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or likeness rights.
3. Sensitive themes handled with care
Some themes belong in drama but need handling. Where a series touches on domestic abuse, coercive control, addiction, suicide or self-harm, we:
- show a content warning before the episode begins;
- avoid depicting method or technique;
- surface region-appropriate support resources in the episode description where the theme is central.
Fiction that features a character behaving badly is not an endorsement. Our test is whether the series treats harm as harm.
4. Comments and community
Where comments are enabled, the same standards apply to you. Do not post harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, promotional links, personal information about anyone, or spoilers outside a spoiler tag.
We remove content that breaches this policy and suspend accounts that do it repeatedly. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
5. Synthetic media
Where a series uses generative AI for visual effects, voice or de-ageing, we label it. We do not create synthetic performances of real people without their written consent, and we do not use a performer's likeness or voice beyond what their contract permits.
6. Reporting something
Use the report control in the app — the ⋯ menu on any episode or comment — or email support@dramasip.com with the series name and episode number.
- Child safety reports are escalated immediately. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Copyright claims follow the process in our Copyright & DMCA policy.
- Everything else: we aim to review within 48 hours and will tell you the outcome.
7. Appeals
If we remove your comment or restrict your account and you think we got it wrong, reply to the notification or email support@dramasip.com within 30 days. A person who was not involved in the original decision will review it.
